Do you have a passion for health and wellness and an inventive mind? Come grow with us in this Associate, Wellbeing and Regulatory role where you will provide data analysis with insights, maintain Wellbeing and Regulatory data and systems, as well as developing compliant nutrition labelling information. Leverage your education and professional skills to collaborate with cross-functional partners to manage Wellbeing- and Regulatory-related initiatives, as well as support corporate nutrition strategies and external communications. HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Data management & system maintenance – Creating and maintaining up-to-date records for food products and ingredients within various systems. Mining Wellbeing- and Regulatory-related data and systems to deliver data analyses, insights & reports.
- Nutrition Labeling & Compliance – Developing accurate and timely nutrition and ingredient labeling information for assigned brands that comply with regional government regulations, company guidelines, and departmental procedures. Advise on and review commercial materials for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaboration is Key - Working collaboratively with many internal departments, including brand marketing, innovation, research and development, legal counsel, consumer affairs, program management, packaging graphics, and food safety and quality, for the successful development of new foods, renovation projects and compelling nutrition claims that drive growth.
- Leadership – Acting as an ambassador for WK Kellogg Co internally and externally. Serving as a resource in the development of messaging and content, leveraging data driven insights for the Wellbeing and Regulatory team and cross-functional partners that may include corporate communications, customer teams, and consumer affairs.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Food Science, Nutrition Science, or another Nutrition-related field.
- Strong working knowledge and application of food advertising and labelling regulations in the United States and Canada, as well as experience with food formulations and ingredient specifications.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and various internal databases, along with the ability to organize, analyze & report data. Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (macros and pivot tables) and SAP an asset.
- A passion for data management & reporting, systems maintenance, nutrition labeling, regulatory, wellbeing, and ensuring accurate labeling practices and information are met.
- Demonstrated experience identifying consumer-driven nutrition insights, trends, and opportunities and connecting with scientific knowledge to develop simple, accurate, and supportable consumer messages that drive sales.
- Expert critical thinking skills, attention to detail and sound judgment are essential.
- Articulate and effective oral and written skills are required. Must be able to communicate in a clear, consistent, and concise manner, and provide responses in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrated orientation to teamwork, results and solutions, high level of ethics and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a labeling, regulatory, or nutrition communications, and marketing business environment in large food or beverage company a PLUS.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential a PLUS.
Salary Range: $86,160 - $113,085
Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
