This is a Hybrid role that requires the incumbent to be commutable within 61-200 miles of the Battle Creek, Michigan Head Quarter office and in the office one consecutive Tuesday/Wednesday each month.  Affiliated commuting expenses will be reimbursed. This job sometimes involves extended work schedules and time commitments and changing priorities. Incumbent must be able to deal with some stress and facilitate sound decision making. Occasional travel (up to 25%). 

 

As the eCommerce Senior Manager focused on Amazon you will drive growth with our most complex online customer. In this role you will lead the business through flawless account management, strong cross-functional partnership, and expert-level knowledge of the ins-and-outs of selling on Amazon. You will serve as the key point of contact for managing Amazon.com and Amazon Fresh businesses and customer relationships.

 

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 

  • Lead Amazon Account Management - This includes: establishing/delivering budgeted sales and profit targets in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders; monitoring Retail performance metrics to drive agreed upon results; manage annual marketing budget and guide marketing/merchandising strategy to align with business needs/goals; leading relationships and ongoing tasks with Amazon vendor managers/customer success managers, inclusive of annual terms negotiations and assortment reviews; and manage Amazon product catalog in Vendor Central, inclusive of partnering with content team/agency on new item setup and digital shelf updates.

 

  • Cross-Functional Partnership - Lead meetings to drive engagement and accountability on projects; Work closely teams to ensure orders are filled according to Amazon/WK Kellogg ordering parameters; Partner with sales planning on forecasts; Guide finance teams on invoice/deduction reconciliation and annual trade budget management; and Support omni-marketing team in managing merchandising/coupon/paid media investments to drive effective/efficient results

 

  • Marketing Leadership & Guidance - Build/manage annual budgets for merchandising accruals, coupons/deals, and media (paid search and display) that support brand initiatives; Support in building the marketing strategy and investment mix that will drive ideal business outcomes; Optimize price, promotion, advertising, and supply chain to earn strong organic placement on the digital shelf; and Ensure all aspects of marketing strategy are aligned and the omni marketing team has details needed  to create successful marketing plans with agency partners

 

  • Long-Term Strategic Thinking - Support in annual/multi-year Amazon business strategy, inclusive of key enablers and unique business solutions to drive growth; Create and enable long-term assortment strategy that is tailored to Amazon needs and maximizes profitability; Evaluate benefits/risks of Amazon-specific programs and guide team on which programs to maintain; and Continual audits to assess areas of opportunity to drive sales and apply best practices across all brands.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business/marketing or related field
  • 5+ years direct Amazon account management experience
  • Proficient in Vendor or Seller Central and Amazon Ads
  • Strong interpersonal and fact-based selling and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized, structured, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights and actions concisely to leadership
  • Possesses a growth mindset and a passion for eCommerce
  • Experience in CPG category and working across both Amazon.com and Amazon Fresh businesses a major PLUS
