JOB OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a Maintenance Store Coordinator to join our Belleville, Ontario facility. In this role, you will maintain the plant’s spare parts inventory system, support production, and maintenance operations, and ensure accuracy, organization, and cost-effective management of materials. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Safety, and play a key role in keeping our parts systems efficient, reliable, and compliant.
HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Maintain accurate spare parts inventory to support production requirements, engineering projects, and maintenance planning.
- Receive and stage incoming MRO materials, verifying accuracy against requisitions.
- Assist GEP personnel in supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Approve requisitions for stock parts within established guidelines.
- Process internal reports and documentation to ensure accurate accounts payable/receivable and inventory records.
- Maintain computerized spare parts systems, ensuring data integrity and preparing reports as needed.
- Lead by example, demonstrating strong K-Value Behaviors.
- Coordinate inter-facility transfers of parts and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and contractual agreements.
- Work within SAP and ensure new parts are properly configured and set up.
- Complete weekly cycle counts and quarterly analysis of slow-moving materials.
- Ensure adherence to standard work processes and storeroom organization.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety and Food Safety guidelines, including sanitation, allergen control, pest control, and regulatory requirements.
- Support execution of relevant departmental and plant projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED and at least 5 years of prior related work experience OR post-secondary education or apprenticeship in a related field and at least 2 years of prior work experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage complex situations with professionalism and urgency.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with disciplined planning and flexibility.
- Computer literacy in SAP and Microsoft applications.
- Ability to promote and maintain positive employee relations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position works primarily in an office environment but requires frequent work in the maintenance shop, storeroom, and other mechanical areas.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift over 50 pounds.
Salary Range: $60,160 – 75,200
