WK Kellogg is seeking an EHS Specialist in our Lancaster, PA plant. This role supports the EHS Manager in the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive environmental, health and safety compliance systems at plant level. The position supports and executes programs that assist the facility in achieving corporate goals for environmental, health, and safety performance and ensuring compliance with EHS policies and applicable regulations.
HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Supports the EHS Manager in the execution of programs to ensure sites are in compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and permit requirements
- Understand all relevant plant environmental permits. Provide support for timely and accurate submission of initial applications, renewals and modifications as necessary.
- Supports accurate and timely EHS recordkeeping and document management including the submission of periodic reports to regulatory agencies
- Assists in the preparation, maintenance, and submittal of all records and reports required by the Company and regulatory agencies including the OSHA 300 log and injury records, Tier 2 & form R reporting, RMP, Annual Stormwater Reporting, Wastewater Reports, etc.
- Support emergency response activities following fires, natural disasters, spills and releases
- Supports the ongoing development and review of continuous improvement programs related to air, water, wastewater and solid/hazardous waste and other EHS process and procedures
YOUR REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 year of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting or a high school diploma and 5 years exp. in the EHS field in a manufacturing setting.
- Must be knowledgeable of safety and environmental regulations including but not limited to: OSHA Regulations, air, wastewater, storm water, solid and hazardous waste regulations.
- Should have strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational, communication, research and analytical skills.
- Experience and/or familiarity with OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001
- Sufficient computer literacy to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and use of plant specific software systems.
- Ability to prioritize effectively
Salary Range: $77,120 - $106,040
Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
