WK Kellogg Co. is looking for a Food Safety Supervisor to join our team at the Mexicali Manufacturing Plant on a temporary 6-month contract. This role is key in ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations while supporting the continuous improvement of our quality systems.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Keeping Our Food Safe – Monitor and prevent biological risks, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety regulations.
- Driving Quality & Compliance – Oversee sample collection, microbiological analysis, and environmental monitoring to maintain superior food safety standards.
- Managing Key Programs – Support the implementation of new food safety and quality initiatives, allergen control, and the Cleaning, Inspection, and Lubrication program.
- Taking Action on Food Safety Incidents – Investigate, follow up, and ensure effective closure of action plans related to food safety events.
- Leading Documentation & Training – Maintain food safety records, verify allergen control procedures, and train staff on GMP and HACCP standards.
- Collaborating Across Teams – Work closely with the QFS analyst, production, and maintenance teams to address SAP notifications and ensure seamless food safety operations.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- Education – bachelor’s degree in food engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Processes, or a related field.
- Experience – 2 years of experience in a similar role (preferred).
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and decision-making skills—we’re looking for a proactive and responsible leader!
- English proficiency (80%) to effectively collaborate with different teams.
