Join WK Kellogg Co in Mexicali as a Maintenance Planning Engineer and take your career to the next level! In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating preventive maintenance activities using SAP, ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards, EHSS, and QFS policies. You’ll manage spare parts and consumables, support equipment maintainability, and act as a key partner to the Maintenance Engineer. You’ll also lead predictive maintenance strategies—such as thermographic, vibration, and ultrasound routines—and develop maintenance plans that enhance regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Coordinate and optimize preventive maintenance using SAP.
  • Manage resources and expenses to ensure productive maintenance and added value.
  • Implement equipment modifications and coordinate with service providers.
  • Execute maintenance plans for production lines.
  • Control monthly and annual budgets for assigned areas.
  • Ensure contractor work complies with GMP and Food Safety standards.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and prevent accidents.
  • Monitor warehouse refurbishments to avoid operational disruptions.
  • Coordinate contractor activities with the maintenance team.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop suppliers to improve equipment lifespan and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Participate in global Food Safety program tasks (e.g., water control, pest control, GMP, belting, overhead food stream).

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing processes.
  • Professional degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of PLCs and automation systems.
