Advance your career as a Sr Manager, Business Growth for the Cereal category at Walmart and Sam’s Club. As a Sr Manager you will lead strategic initiatives for our customers by acting as the liaison between our Sales team and cross-functional partners. In this hybrid role you will also get experience calling directly on the customer and owning a P&L.

 

This position is located in Northwest Arkansas with a requirement to be in our Rogers, AR sales office two days per week. 

 

Must be able to use effective verbal and written communication skills on a daily basis.

 

Must have the ability to work in conditions that include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints. 

 

Ability to lead, align, manage, resolve conflict, and work in an ever-changing environment.

 

Expected travel (25 percent) of the time.

•  Reports to the Sr. Director Business Development.

 

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

  • Business Analytics – Providing fact-based insights will be key to your success.  You will be responsible for accessing, analyzing, and interpreting business indicators of shipments, share, and consumption for WK and competitive brands in the market.  Your findings will impact our forward-looking strategy for assortment, promotion, and displays at Walmart and Sam’s.
  • Customer Interaction – This position will involve interacting with multiple customer contacts in support of the business.  You will support the Cereal sales leads on our Walmart & Sam’s teams with data and insights, with opportunities to present your findings directly to the customer. This hybrid role also has accountability for our Cereal business outside of the main aisle by strengthening relationships with merchants and finding new opportunities to grow our business in B&M and online.
  • Strategic Partnerships – Collaborating cross functionally you will develop relationships and information sharing partnerships with Commercial Strategy, Brand, Retail, Category Management, Omni, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales Finance, and Sales Planning teams. You will leverage rich retailer data to inform this collaboration and guide internal strategy.
  • Project Management – You will have direct responsibility for managing customer-specific projects from idea to execution, acting as the voice of the customer throughout the projects. You will be the main Sales point-of-contact for projects, managing reserves, sales expectations, and sell-through tracking.

Required:

  • Ability to apply an analytical thought process while working with multiple cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Must have demonstrated ability to handle multiple project assignments in a timely manner
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in conditions that may include multiple priorities, extended work schedules and specific time constraints.  
  • Excellent presentation, communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Strong storytelling skills and ability to influence with data and insights
  • Ability to accurately forecast and measure trade effectiveness
  • Knowledge of basic financial metrics and P&L management

Compensation Insights:

Salary Range: $140,900.00 -$185,100.00

Position is bonus eligible
